High-Five on the Internet

Hello. Matt Dorfman is a New York based designer who happens to do a substantial amount of illustration.
During the day, he co-manages the art department of Universal/Motown Records—taking special moments in the afternoons to wonder about how any higher power might reconcile their sense of humor between the music industry, the modern U.S. economy and graphic design.
By night, he designs and illustrates for various magazines, newspapers, publishers and cultural institutions, pausing occasionally to sleep.
The Motherboard is his running blog of news, accidents, comps and current personal and published work. Enjoy and/or cry foul at your e-leisure.

Hey Matt, I saw a repost of your wedding invite on a completely unrelated blog last week, but just saw the explosion of comments on your entry. Wow, you even got a few haters, which means you’ve hit the big time, baby. I especially enjoyed the comment that your invite/story was a hoax. As a former coworker and probably one of those people wondering if you knew what you were doing, I can firmly attest to your authenticity!
It’s a fantastic story, and even more fantastic in design. From your work it seems that you’re a very independent designer and that is something to be admired!
