That was f%#king awesome. Thank you to all who could make it.

Here’s our invite, printed by the fine folks at Kayrock in Williamsburg.

We went to Texas shortly afterwards just to chill out for a few days. Things got WEIRD in Texas.

    Hi Matt
Your invitation is genius! Do you do this for a living. Trying to get an original invite for my son’s barmitzvah (he is very into books and that’s the theme – so I like the idea of this kind of invite). I am in Sydney, so will just need the concept etc.
    Please let me know

  15. June 14th, 2009 | 2:09 am

I am getting married in late October and these are hands down the most hysterical, mood lifting invitations I’ve ever happened to come across. Have you ever designed others? If not, would you consider doing so?
Thank you for bringing originality to what is normally an unremarkable step in the wedding schtick game.

  16. June 14th, 2009 | 11:33 pm

After looking at your website, I am completely awestruck and would love to learn how to make my site as beautiful as yours. I am new to web design and I just can’t seem to get it all worked out. Any pointers that you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. My email address is and I would love to hear from you. You can see my site at J1 Visa Extend visa extend h2b visa Thanks in advance for any tips that you may offer. Please let me know if you would consider a link exchange or other tips.

    All the best.

  116. June 16th, 2009 | 1:53 am

Brilliant card! I was thinking about an above average mcard, but after seeing yours stellar above average, I can’t get it out of my head.

  117. June 16th, 2009 | 2:08 am

    Completely and absolutely love this!

  118. June 16th, 2009 | 4:06 am

As someone that works in the industry, that was friggin cool. The only one that comes close is one where the groom (a graphic designer) made a drawing of the couple as skeletons on the invite.

  119. June 16th, 2009 | 5:49 am

Amazing invitations! Congrats on the wedding too :)

  120. June 16th, 2009 | 6:00 am

Hey guys, fantastic design. I was wondering if I could inquire about some of the typefaces you used; I’m very into mid-century American design and I constantly have trouble finding reliable sources for authentic typefaces. The treatment on your invitation was so masterful, it rocked, way to go. Hope to hear from you in the future!

i’ve never commented on any blog ever, but I came across this invitation and had to say something…this is awesome. i’ve been in an LDR for a few year’s now and its about to get worse (distance wise), but this has renewed my hope in making it work. i hope your first year as one has been great and i wish you all the best for eternity =)

  131. June 16th, 2009 | 8:55 pm

Perfect. Wedding invitations should be an expression of the couple and I have to assume this is.

    All the best.

  132. June 16th, 2009 | 9:00 pm

When my sister got married they sent out “Wanted” posters with directions to a ranch used for film westerns. They asked people to dress as cowboys (Of course, one joker had to wear a Dallas football jersey), had a c/w band and BBQ, our dad carried a shotgun, and they were married by the Reverend Mustang Sally. They had wedding pie instead of cake (because who eats cake at a BBQ?), and there were horses available for short rides, raised wooden sidewalks, a bar with a swing door serving drinks, and we all had a great time.

    Hi there,

LOVE your work! I am wondering if you would consider doing any illustration for a wedding invite?

My finacee and I are both pilots and are looking for someone to design a “Safety Features Card” like the one’s the flight attendants hold up, for our invite.

Let me know if this is something you might consider.
