Matt Dorfman is a New York based designer and illustrator.
The name of his freelance consultancy, Metalmother,
was determined largely on account of this song
getting stuck in his head for an inordinately
long period of time.

Collaborators include Penguin, NPR, Vintage/Anchor, Pantheon,
W.W. Norton, New York Magazine, WIRED, Vanity Fair, Time,
Da Capo Press, Time Magazine, The Harvard Business Review,
Bloomberg Business Week, The Atlantic, The New Republic, Red Parlor
Records, St. Martin's Press and Picador among others. As of
the later end of October 2011, he became the current
art director of the New York Times' Op/Ed page.

His work has been recognized by the AIGA, the Art
Director's Club, The Society of Illustrators, American
Illustration, the Society of Publication Designers,
The Type Director's Club and Print Magazine.
