Matt Dorfman is a New York based designer and illustrator.
The name of his freelance consultancy, Metalmother,
was determined largely on account of this song
getting stuck in his head for an inordinately
long period of time.

Collaborators include Penguin, Serial, Vintage/Anchor, Pantheon,
W.W. Norton, New York Magazine, Fresh Air with Terry Gross,
The New Yorker, WIRED, Vanity Fair, Time, Da Capo Press, Time,
The Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg Business Week, The Atlantic,
The New Republic and Picador among others. He is currently
the art director of the New York Times' Book Review.

His work has been recognized by the AIGA, the Art
Director's Club, The Society of Illustrators, American
Illustration, the Society of Publication Designers,
The Type Director's Club and Print Magazine.
